HIV Quality of Care Program Criteria for Participation

Commitment to and interest in:
- Development of an infrastructure for regularly evaluating and improving care delivery systems
- Development of QI expertise
- Baseline and annual submission of computerized data regarding six quality indicators for 30-45 patients. Indicators include HIV staging, antiretroviral therapy, PCP prophylaxis, MAC prophylaxis, annual PPD screening, and annual pelvic examination. For New York programs, data regarding coordination of care is also required.
- Implementation of one QI project for a quality indicator measured at baseline
- Participation in approximately 8-10 meetings with a project consultant
- Completion of organizational assessments at baseline and 12 months thereafter
